What is Psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is one of the most indicated treatments for Mood Disorders, such as Depression or Anxiety, and Personality Disorders, such as Borderline and Schizophrenia. Psychotherapy has a series of theoretical-practical approaches and lines of thought, to treat both mental illnesses and everyday problems, such as conflicts in marriage, work and family.
Being in a difficult time in life, such as a separation, a financial difficulty, an important life decision or a change of country can make us anxious, worried and insecure, so we end up seeing situations in a more emotional way and, commonly, the problem appears to be make it even more difficult to solve. Therefore, having a professional, support, a good listener who can help towards finding the best choice can be very important in solving problems.
Currently, 264 million people worldwide are diagnosed with Depression, 280 million with Anxiety and 970 million diagnosed with some mental disorder.
Psychotherapy consists of follow-up with weekly sessions, in which we will discuss the life conflicts the patient has been facing and how we can reach a solution.
The main supporting pillar for a therapeutic process is the trust between patient and psychotherapist. The patient is guaranteed professional secrecy, so everything said in therapy is protected by law and cannot be discussed outside the office, except with other psychotherapists, with the patient’s consent.
Through Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Systemic Psychology, the sessions are structured prioritizing the modification or maintenance of behavior and the relationships, borders and alliances that exist in the patient’s life. In addition, they are guided by rational, directive and interventionist thinking, encouraging confrontation and change, always with emotional support and theoretical-technical support.

Online Psychological Care is a form of Psychotherapy that preserves the same professional ethics, secrecy and possibility of intervention and interaction, so it allows you to be served in the comfort of your home, with the same quality and professionalism as face-to-face care. The service is carried out by video call on WhatsApp, all lasting from 50 to 60 minutes.
The Psychologist can assist you in maintaining Mental Health, treating Depression, Anxiety, Phobias, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and other mood and personality disorders, but also for issues related to work, relationships, family and all walks of life.
The Psychologist is governed by a Code of Professional Ethics that ensures Professional Secrecy. Therefore, everything spoken in session is protected by law.
Each patient and each treatment has its peculiarities. All sessions are structured and interventional, aimed at resolving complaints. Some patients undergo treatment for a few months, others voluntarily maintain the treatment for years, even after the initial complaint has been resolved.
At this moment, due to the pandemic, valuing the safety and health of all my patients and their families, I am only assisting through online therapy, such as video calling.
